RESSCO and THAT NEXT LEVEL Foundation Partner with Junior Achievement to Sponsor Personal Finance and Career Success Courses at Cody High School

Southfield, MI – July 21, 2017 – Real Estate Service Solutions Company’s (RESSCO) charitable giving arm, That Next Level Foundation, in collaboration with Junior Achievement of Southeast Michigan recently completed Personal Finance and Career Success volunteer programs at Cody Medicine and Community Health (MCH) High School, a Detroit Public School.
RESSCO recently formed a charitable 501c3 non-profit organization called THAT NEXT LEVEL foundation. The foundation’s primary mission will be to help end the cycle of poverty in the Black community through the promotion and funding of programs that lead to skill development and financial literacy.
The first major commitment of THAT NEXT LEVEL was partnering with Junior Achievement of Southeast Michigan. “Partnering with Junior Achievement was a no-brainer”, says RESSCO’s CEO, Shawn Stafford, “the curriculum at JA is consistent with our mission of preaching the importance of developing skills and financial literacy”. The foundation donated $10,000 to Junior Achievement to sponsor Cody MCH High School, as well as provided 11 dedicated volunteers to teach 7 Personal Finance courses and 3 Career Success courses to 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students. Tapped from professional and personal contacts of RESSCO, volunteers had varied backgrounds in medicine, business, engineering and human resources. Volunteers dedicated their time from busy work schedules to teach the courses, providing a wide range of work, financial and educational experiences for the students to learn from. THAT NEXT LEVEL plans to partner with JA to sponsor 3 Detroit high schools next year with a goal of reaching all Detroit high schools within 5 years.
